Looks fine mate, wouldn't bat an eye lid and could tell you was yank straight away. :good:

If you carried a pistol you could carry spare 1911 mags in a pistol pouch this has a press stud on it which attaches just left on where the belt does up. My one is 90 years+ old and still works fine! :good:

hey! You don't know what... Oh wait, yeah I was.

Yellow "Para gloves" never look good (that is in addition the the whole 'they are wrong' argument too). Dean wore his at Devils hill and it was so rainy that at the end of the weekend they were beige, not yellow - so it is possible to get the dye out of 'em.

Although to be fair to both you and me, you are a paratrooper, they had them and meh, the are now an ubiquitous para-y-ness. The incident for which I got the reputation of "glove-hater general" did involve leg infantry, not paratroopers.

On leg infantry - no excuse for the washing up gloves. Ever. :giggle:

In mitigation your honour, this was a walk on day and I did go on to do some shooty things and always wear gloves when up against the hi cap menace. I will look at toning them down though ;)

Heh, I was wearing airborne gloves with infantry kit years ago, before WW2 games kicked off. (no one to tick me off!)
But for practical airsoft reasons they are very good - within the remit of vaguely correct (I used to wear black leather 'Northern Ireland' gloves for normal games) and you don't get thorns and twigs stuck in them like I do with British and German gloves - plus they are trigger-finger friendly!

Plus it identifies marshals - high-viz gloves instead of high-viz vests.

Ran our first North Africa game over the weekend, with South African (Union Defence Force) troops facing DAK saboteurs and disgruntled Arabs. Our photographer is still collating pictures, but this is one of the early ones:

I'm the guy in the middle, ran a very "budget" DAK impression based on the following:
- French pith helmet ("beutehelm")
- DAK shirt
- FJ tropical jump trousers
- gaiters and brown ankle boots

Webbing (omitted here) was the yellow canvas webbing belt with a painted Heer buckle, and two black K98 ammo pouches.

With a BD and "I captured a Jerry".

Why do you always carry that umbrella?
-Bad memory. Never could remember the password. Knew no Jerry would carry one. Had to prove I was an Englishman, you see.

Looked like an absolute tit, was playing for the russian militia. Mitchmatch kit and my grandads old wool liner for a leather motorcycle cap. Will post a pic if there is one. I'm in a few seconds of the video (if you spot a british army chinese fighting vest, that's me).

Some shots from this weekends game.
I was the only period player in a field of approx 100. My STG 44 was shooting at 280FPS and was woefully out ranged by tricked up M4s etc. The 42 shot well but needs a better hop rubber as the supplied one was ineffective. A challenging and sometime frustrating day, however I really enjoyed shambling(to old to sprint) about in my kit based around 44
